For everyone submitting pokestops, there's a handy new feature on the map for helping you plan locations: S2 layer! It's best used in conjunction with stops and gyms, so here's a handy bookmarkable URL to use it. Aim for submitting in the small squares without a greyed-out background. The 2nd, 6th, and 20th portals in a big green cell will trigger a gym.
